You're here! Welcome!
Hi, I'm
Kara McIntyre
I'm a communications professional with over two decades of experience in advertising, marketing, social media, and copy writing. I'm a huge fan of the Oxford comma, despite what the AP Stylebook says.
My Journey
In my first two years of college, I had several majors. Anyone would expect that level of indecision wouldn't bode well for the longevity of any one career path in my future, but when I landed on communications it was clear I'd found my calling.I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in communications with a minor in writing, both of which I've put to good use, primarily for iHeartMedia. My experiences at the company spanned programming, promotions, production, and the sales departments. With every progression in technology and every internal restructuring, I was able to make the shift and excel with the changes.

My Writing

I did a series of three scripted podcast episodes for Halloween, each one a different "spooky" story to entertain the audience. The target listener was an adult in the Greater Houston Area, so I chose a well known local spot for the intial episode. Take a look at the podcast scripts. You can also listen to the episodes:
